TEACHER TRAINING - TESOL

Studying on a teacher training course at EXCEL is different. This is because we offer a course and qualification that is of an international standard and is made to fit a time scale and level for YOU! So many TESOL (TEFL) courses are very intensive, stressful and expensive. Excel offers 3 different ways to achieve your TESOL qualification.

The course itself is provided online through International TESOL Teacher Training, an internationally recognised and industry leader in TESOL courses. Full support is provided by Excel teachers with cultural activities, teacher observations and teaching practice as part of the programme.

We can now offer these courses to individual students who may be considering doing a TESOL course. The student can choose how long they would like to take to complete the course, 4 weeks – 6 months, and can even be doing General English study at the same time. The usual length of time is 6 weeks of full time study.

OPTION ONE - Independant study TESOL Full time

This option is for the student who can study independently. They will complete 20 units online through ITTT at their own pace with an online tutor. Each week they will also have 4 hours tutorial support from an EXCEL TESOL teacher, teacher observation of a General English class and teaching practice of their own with students. Below is an outline of a typical week's programme.

OPTION TWO - Independent study TESOL Part time / General English Part Time

This option allows students to continue to study General English in the morning class and then complete the TESOL course in the afternoons and possibly evenings. It will generally take longer to complete the course doing it this way due to not studying TESOL full time.

OPTION THREE - Group TESOL Course

Over the duration of 6 weeks the students complete the 20 units online through ITTT but also have a full-time Excel TESOL tutor. The course includes cultural activities, educational institute visits, teaching practice and observations and much more.
