Our College

Here at Excel we like students to think of the College as their 'second home' so we offer the following facilities for use.

Computer room - has modern computers with free high speed internet access for email and web browsing. Wireless access is also available in the College free of charge for students wanting to bring their laptop fromhome. The computers have students' own language ability, language learning programmes and are used for class lessons.

Student kitchen - includes free tea and coffee, morning tea with biscuits, microwaves to heat lunch, an oven and full kitchen facilities as well as bowls, plates and utensils.

The Common Room (lounge) - offers students a place to relax, eat lunch or watch a movie. On Fridays we meet here to welcome new students, farewell those graduating and also talk about the coming weekend and week's activities. Activity and travel information is also available.

	Anita Bell - Principal Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Teaching Diploma of Recreation and Sport TESOL Certificate 40 years experience in the education sector Enjoys travel, reading,music, the Arts and spending time (socialising) with family and friends. Positive, friendly, outgoing
	Lynne Hurley - Administrator BA (Education & Classics) from Otago University 7 years administration experience. Extensive international travel throughout Asia and the Pacific. Hobbies: Travel, photography, reading, cooking. Energetic, motivated and attentive.
	David Zehms - Teacher BA Education (Hons), MA Education (Multi-Cultural Education) Trained, Registered Teacher, Education Researcher and Writer Teaching for 30 years. I have taught in USA, UK, Indonesia (all Primary school) and New Zealand (ESOL only). In Indonesia I taught classes with Students from many countries and therefore had many ESOL students. I have taught only ESOL for the last 9 years. Hobbies: reading, listening to jazz and classical music, gardening, walking the dogs People say I am very social, friendly, zaney (look that one up!) and energetic.
	Christina Sinclair - Teacher BA, Post Graduate Dip. In Second Language Teaching (PGDip.SLT) Twenty years of ESOL teaching experience including a long period teaching Germany in a private language school An enthusiastic reader who loves literature, history and different cultures. A keen ballet and opera fan. Enthusiastic, caring and dedicated.
	Adrian Courtney - Teacher BA English & Latin Head teacher of Trinity Certificate (TESOL) - Barcelona Cambridge RSA teaching certificate 24 years teaching and managerial experience
	Celia Parsons - Teacher BA English Literature Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (CTEFLA) Diploma Second Language Teaching Massey University (Dip SLT) 20 years ESOL teaching experience including 7 years overseas 5 years experience teaching and preparing students
	Rob Stent - Teacher BTchLn (Bachelor of Teaching and Learning) Christchurch College of Education and Canty University 5 years Primary Teaching, 9 months ESOL teaching Married to Maria with 5 children aged 6-20 Interest in running , cycling , swimming, reading , good food and wine, anything outdoors People describe me as fun, fit and fantastic (they did really!) but otherwise caring, loyal and energetic

Hobbies include cycling, swimming, piano-playing and reading. His wife says he is optimistic and outgoing with a big passion for life.
